Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite: Smartwatch is available in Europe for the equivalent of 58 euros, with GNSS and many functions

The problem has been solved: The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite is available in Europe for the first time. Specifically, several retailers in Poland are already selling the smartwatch for the equivalent of around 58 euros, although availability is said to be given depending on the retailer and delivery is possible until September 23rd. Versions with differently colored straps are already on display. The smartwatch has a decent range of features – especially for the price.

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with a 1.96-inch screen with a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels, which is an AMOLED. It is advertised as having relatively extensive features: not only can the heart rate and blood oxygen saturation be measured as is absolutely usual, but there is also a GNSS module. This not only records the effort of a running session, for example, but also the distance covered – so the smartphone can definitely stay at home if you go for a short run.

The 48.2 x 39.3 x 10.6 millimeter wearable is waterproof up to a test pressure of 5 ATM and can therefore be worn while swimming without having to worry about damage from water ingress. The smartwatch can be used to control the camera of a paired smartphone and the watch can be used to use Alexa. Over 140 training modes are supported and sleep monitoring should also be possible.

The watch is not yet listed in Germany. The Redmi Watch 5 Active is currently available here for around 47 euros.
