Man dies after driving pickup truck into laundry in Carlton

CARLTON, Minnesota – A man died Wednesday night after driving his vehicle into the Carlton Laundry.

The Carlton County Sheriff's Office said the accident report was received at 8:28 p.m. The driver, 48-year-old Adam Forsythe of Grand Lake Township, was driving a pickup truck.

Authorities say he was traveling east on Highway 201 when he left the road and struck the building. Forsythe was pulled from his vehicle where life-saving measures were administered. He was then taken to a hospital in Cloquet, where he died.

The building was badly damaged, but no one else was injured.

Police say the accident and cause of death are currently under investigation, but driving under the influence of alcohol may be a factor.
