School bus accident on US-41 at Laurel Road

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A school bus crash is causing traffic delays on US-41 in both directions.

The cause of the accident is still unknown. It occurred at 7:13 a.m. on US 41 and Laurel Road.

No roads are closed due to this accident.

The Sarasota County Sheriff continues to investigate this incident.

According to Sarasota County Schools, there were no students on the bus.

However, the bus driver and the bus attendant sustained injuries and were treated on site.

The driver of one of the vehicles involved was taken to SMH-Venice for treatment of minor injuries.
