Massachusetts Day begins at The Big E, state representatives expected

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) — This is the day many people across the Commonwealth have been waiting for on The Big E: Massachusetts Day!

Our coverage of the 108th Big E will continue throughout the day in front of the State House building, where people from all over New England, especially Massachusetts, can see and enjoy what the Commonwealth has to offer.

Since many trade fair visitors do this, there will also be a few special guests there.

First, during the morning, Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll will stop by and greet the many people looking to have a great time, as well as local farmers and vendors selling their products.

A normal tradition that takes place here at the Big E on Massachusetts Day.

And later, a third important person will be present: Commonwealth Minister William Galvin.

He will also celebrate Massachusetts Day, but will also work to register voters and promote the voter information booklet his office produces, which contains detailed information on the five questions that will be on the ballot in the November 2024 election.

Galvin will also discuss and answer any questions related to the upcoming presidential election, as well as voting issues and voting options.

He will do all this at a booth set up on the right side of the porch in front of the Massachusetts Building.
