My analysis

Lane Thomas was hitless in extra innings last night in the Cleveland Guardians' 5-4 win, but that doesn't take away from his incredible month at bat.

Thomas' 16 RBI in 16 games are the third-most in the major leagues this month, with only Manny Machado and Brent Rooker having more RBIs than him, each with 19.

After being signed by the Nationals in late July, the 29-year-old had a brutal first month with the Guardians, posting a miserable .143 batting average with just three RBIs in August. However, he has turned things around significantly over the past two and a half weeks.

Thomas' average is .297 in September, as he has a hit in 12 of 16 games and recorded at least one RBI in nine games. He has been especially good recently, with 13 RBIs in his last 12 games.

While Thomas' 59 RBI this season is a far cry from team leaders Jose Ramirez (107) and Josh Naylor (105), those two have combined for just 10 runs scored this month, I'm sticking with the streak, expecting Thomas' offensive streak to continue.
