German tourist (30) dies after shark attack off Canary Islands

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – 500 kilometers off the Canary Islands of Gran Canaria, a German woman was fatally injured in a shark attack on Monday. The woman was on a boat and apparently went into the sea to swim. The animal tore off the German woman's leg. Although the Moroccan coast was much closer than the Spanish one, Spain's coast guard imported the rescue operation after the shark attack, reports costanachrichten.com.

The 30-year-old did not survive the shark attack off the Canary Islands. She died in the rescue helicopter on the way to the hospital in Gran Canaria.
