ProSieben cancels show with Bill and Tom Kaulitz – after only one episode

“The Superduper Show” premiered on Tuesday. Three more episodes were planned. But ProSieben will no longer show them.

In mid-June, ProSieben announced that it would be adding a new format with Katrin Bauerfeind and the Kaulitz twins to its program in the fall. “The Superduper Show” is about “creating and directing” your own mini-show, said a press release from the station at the time. In each episode, five celebrities take on this task. “The challenge: children provide the commission and inspiration for the shows.”

On September 17th, the time had come: ProSieben showed the first episode of the “Superduper Show” at 8:15 p.m. In addition to Katrin Bauerfeind, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, the actress Annette Frier, the new “Tatort” star Edin Hasanovic and the comedian Wigald Boning also took part in the format. But the show was not able to convince the audience.

Not even half a million people were interested in the new show on ProSieben. 490,000 people tuned in. The second episode was planned for next Tuesday. But now, a few days before the next broadcast, ProSieben has changed its mind – and taken “The Superduper Show” straight off the schedule.

The Munich broadcaster had actually planned a total of four episodes. But it ends after the first one, and the other three episodes will not be shown on TV. The broadcaster has not yet announced what will be broadcast on ProSieben instead.

Katrin Bauerfeind is otherwise in front of the camera for the successful format “Who's Stealing My Show?”. Bill and Tom Kaulitz have also been guests on the show. The twins are also celebrating success with their Netflix documentary “Kaulitz & Kaulitz”. They also worked as coaches on the ProSieben casting show “The Voice of Germany”.
