Bochum: Young man (19) dies in terrible accident near A43

Fatal accident on Wednesday evening (September 18) in Bochum. As the Bochum police announced on Thursday morning, a young man (19) had an accident on the Werner Hellweg at around 7:20 p.m.

The 19-year-old was riding his motorcycle towards Wittener Straße. Shortly after the entrance to the A43 (“Bochum Laer”), the 19-year-old suddenly lost control of his vehicle. The accident cost the young man his life.

Bochum: 19-year-old fatally injured

According to the investigations carried out by the Bochum police, the fatal accident occurred without any external influence. Witnesses stated that the motorcycle suddenly crashed into two warning beacons and finally crashed into a parked car with full force.

Witnesses rushed to the scene of the accident and immediately called the emergency services. They administered first aid until the rescue team arrived. Then the professionals from the rescue service took over. They immediately took the young man from Bochum to the hospital, where he was immediately taken to the intensive care unit. But in the end, all help came too late. The 19-year-old died in hospital a short time later.

In the meantime, the Bochum police have begun investigating the cause of the accident. Officers must clarify whether a technical defect or something else was the cause of the fatal accident.
