Stefan Raab comeback: First candidate in new show comes from Karlsruhe

After more than nine years, entertainer Stefan Raab is back with his new show “You won't win the million here”. In it, the 57-year-old competes against different candidates in various categories. The first participant ever comes from Karlsruhe. And he does better than expected.

The new quiz and competition show “You won’t win the million here”, #DGHNDMBSR for short, by Stefan Raab Running every week since Wednesday on the streaming service RTL+. The 57-year-old has thus ended his TV abstinence and will now once again provide spectacular TV moments. In the show, which will not be broadcast on television for the time being, candidates can win the prize money of 1 million euros – but of course Stefan Raab will not let this sum be taken out of his pocket so easily. You have to beat him in various categories, similar to his previous show “Beat the Star” on Pro7.

In addition, Raab looks back every week at the moving image events in streaming, social media and TV. This is of course very reminiscent of the show “TV Total”, for which Raab was particularly well-known. If candidates win games in “You won't win the million here”, they move on, and at a certain point they also win money. However, anyone who loses just one game or answers a quiz question incorrectly is eliminated straight away.

Raab himself moderates the quiz and asks the questions. Different guest presenters keep an eye on the other rounds of the game. The audience favorite Elton starts things off.

Karlsruher writes show history

At the beginning of the show, several candidates have the chance to compete against Raab. To be selected, you have to be quick and answer a quiz question. As Raab's first opponent in the new show, Oliver Buse from Karlsruhe on the candidate's chair. The 31-year-old from the catering industry masters the first quiz questions with ease and is even able to beat the entertainer in the first game, “Chain Link Fence”. In this game, chain link fences had to be cut off with pliers. In the second quiz round, Buse is also able to answer all the questions, but then his luck runs out.

Raab finally defeated the first candidate in the #DGHNDMBSR show's history in the second game of the show: “Office Chair Ball”. A game in which tennis balls have to be thrown at an office chair. Buse goes home without winning, but at least gets a personal serenade from the entertainer at the end.

The second candidate Sören Kluge from Berlin will have the chance to fight for the million next week. According to the broadcaster RTL, everyone who will be part of the show will have the opportunity to buy tickets for a recording in Cologne or even apply as a candidate.
