Woman and boyfriend allegedly filmed sexual abuse of children, police say. She later began working in a daycare center

Jamie Souders, 42, and Morgan Rothenhoefer, 24, are accused of sexual abuse

A Pennsylvania couple is accused of sexually abusing children and filming the abuse.

Jamie Souders, 42, and Morgan Rothenhoefer, 24, are both charged with multiple offenses related to child sexual abuse, including one count of rape of a child, one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and several counts of allowing the recording of a child having sexual intercourse, according to an online court record.

According to WHTM reports Patriot News According to Fox 43, the indictment alleges that the couple abused children as young as eight and took photos and videos of them, which were later discovered by police.

Both Souders and Rothenhoefer said they could not remember the entire incident captured on video involving an 8-year-old, and said they were drunk or under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, WHTM and Fox 43 reported, citing charging documents.

It is not immediately clear whether either of them has made a confession.

WHTM reported that Rothenhoefer was hired at a daycare in August after a criminal background check. The daycare said the allegations against her were made before she was hired and she was fired when the allegations came to light.
