Stray dogs attack children, man dies in crane accident during Ganesh immersion

Adilabad:A series of unfortunate incidents took place during the Ganesh immersion celebrations in Nirmal district on Tuesday evening.

Four children, Usha, Anvika, Bodike Omkar and Swamy, sustained minor injuries when they were attacked by stray dogs while watching the Ganesha statue rally at the Thanur mandal headquarters. The injured children were immediately rushed to Bhainsa area hospital for treatment and are reportedly in stable condition.

In another incident, Nagesh, a 46-year-old contractual employee of Kagaznagar Municipality, tragically died when he was hit by a crane used for immersion of Ganesha statues at Peddavagu. He sustained severe leg injuries and was rushed to Karimnagar for medical treatment but unfortunately did not survive. Another worker, Prem, sustained minor injuries in the same accident.

Local authorities are investigating both incidents to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
