Emmerdale's John Sugden's 'true' face 'revealed' as Victoria makes discovery | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Emmerdale's Isabel Hodgins has hinted that her character Victoria Sugden is about to make a big revelation about the enigmatic John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) in upcoming episodes.

Audiences of the ITV soap recently observed John exhibiting suspicious behaviour as he held an army dog ​​tag with the words 'Aiden Moore' written on it, leaving fans confused. John is currently employed on Moira Dingle's (Natalie Robb) farm, and his past remains shrouded in mystery.

However, Victoria's curiosity leads her to accidentally stumble upon John's belongings, potentially revealing not one but two bombshells about her half-brother.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media outlets about how Victoria's discovery is beginning to unfold, Isabel revealed: “Well, she's already twisted his arm to lure him into the pub. And said something like, 'Oh, I've found some old pictures I'd like to show.' [you] her.' And she goes through this, he really isn't interested and he really doesn't mind.

“Even Matty notices and tries to say, 'Oh yeah, they're really cool. Oh, that's your mum, that's nice.' And she gets nothing from John. He's not interested,” reports the Manchester Evening News.

Victoria takes advantage of a moment when John is busy with his phone to snatch it and see what has caught his attention. “She's completely disregarding his boundaries – normal!” Isabel explained.

“She sees that there are quite a few text messages from Aaron. And she sees that one is of a particular nature. So she is very shocked to see that. And so she asks him, 'What's going on, why is Aaron sending you messages like that?'

“I think she's shocked because now she's in this relationship with Aaron that's back to being about Victoria and Aaron instead of Aaron being with Robert.”

“Well, first and foremost, he's her boyfriend right now. There's a bit of a sense of betrayal there, like, 'How can he do this to me when he's my boyfriend?'”

Victoria also fears that the budding romance between Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John could destroy her budding bond with her half-brother.

She explains: “But their whole argument is that Aaron had a relationship with Robert and Aaron is a bit of a liability.

“And if they keep seeing each other and it goes wrong, John will leave and he will leave the village. And that's the last thing she wants. That's why it's bothering her so much.”

Victoria can't help but let her curiosity get the better of her, and soon she's secretly going through John's things in the back of his beloved camper van. “It was an accident because… she was very hyper, but I swear it was an accident because of the way she behaved in the pub.”

“So she comes in and snoops around a little bit. In real life, I'm a little sister and we snoop around. That's what we do. We're good sniffer dogs! And so she comes across some of his stuff and snoops around a little bit.”

Victoria comes across a dog tag with a mysterious name that could potentially cast doubt on John's character.

“She is suspicious because she was either just comforted or found out everything by accident,” Isabel revealed.

“I think she wants the chance to have an open conversation where she can ask me my questions and answer them, and then we can actually start to build a relationship.”

“Andy has done questionable things, Robert has done questionable things, but they're her family and she's going to stand by them no matter what. So I think she would be the same in John's case.”

Faced with the possibility of further Sugden family reunions, Isabel could not hide her excitement: “Oh, the more the merrier!”
