I-476 is closed from Route 3 to Radnor due to serious accident – ​​Delco Times

Due to a serious accident involving a dump truck, Interstate 476 northbound at Route 3 is closed on Wednesday morning.

The accident involving multiple vehicles and an overturned dump truck was reported around 3:30 a.m. at mile marker 10.3.

When emergency crews from Broomall and Radnor arrived, they found a multi-vehicle accident in which a dump truck had overturned.

Those involved were examined/treated by emergency medical services and taken to a nearby trauma center, Broomall firefighters said in a post on Facebook.

Additional units from the Radnor Fire Company and Marple Township Ambulance Corps were also on scene. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the PA State Police. I-476 North will remain closed at 8 a.m. to allow for cleanup after the accident.

Fire department units from across the region are assisting with traffic control at the Route 3/I-476 interchange.
