Motorcyclist seriously injured after accident

A man was seriously injured in an accident in Coburg: a 69-year-old female driver had overlooked the motorcyclist while turning.

With heavybut non-life-threatening injuries The emergency services took a 65-year-old motorcyclist to the hospital after a collision with a car. A 69-year-old female driver had failed to see the motorcyclist when turning.

The motorcyclist was travelling in the direction of Marschberg in Wirtsgrund at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. At the same time, the female driver was driving in the opposite direction and overlooked the motorcyclist when he turned left into a parking lot.

Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash

In order to avoid a head-on collision with the car, the motorcyclist initiated an emergency braking maneuver. In doing so, he fell and slid with his motorcycle into the passenger side of the car.

The motorcyclist suffered broken ribs and a serious shoulder injury in the fall. The Coburg police are investigating the person who caused the accident for negligent bodily harm and violations of the road traffic regulations.
