“The Superduper Show”: Scandal on TV – Tom Kaulitz makes vehement digs at Bill!

“The Superduper Show”: Scandal on TV – Tom Kaulitz makes vehement digs at Bill!

Five celebrities put on a mini-show, with ideas provided by children aged seven to twelve. Whoever puts on the best show and convinces the audience the most wins. That's the concept of “The Superduper Show” on ProSieben.

The first edition featured comedian Annette Frier, the two “Tokio Hotel” stars Bill and Tom Kaulitz, actor Edin Hasanović and comedian Wigald Boning. All editions are hosted by Katrin Bauerfeind.

Tom stressed right at the start of the show that it was only important to him that one of the two Kaulitz brothers won. The fact that the twins were not competing as a team in the show was nothing special. Looking at her neighbor Edin Hasanović, Anette Frier smiled: “We feel the same way!” The actor responded with a joke: “Tell me your name again quickly!”

The superduper show full of mini-shows

Presenter Katrin Bauernfeind barely responded to her guests' taunts. Instead, she talked about her reaction to the concept of the show. She was a fan from the beginning, even though she hadn't even finished reading it. Whether viewers are similarly enthusiastic will become clear with the upcoming editions and the associated ratings. Many reactions to the show on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) were less than positive.

“The German Facial Championships”, “Scissors, Stone, Shaved” or “Ugh, that tastes good!” – the names of the mini-shows already made it clear that children had a hand in it. While comedian Annette Frier and ten-year-old Anni clearly had fun presenting their triathlon show “Facial Championships”, things were different for the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz at the beginning.

Tom Kaulitz on “Superduper Show”: “When Bill starts drooling…”

The first game, darts, in which magnetic darts had to be blown at the target using a mouthpiece attached to the table, caused Bill to have a brief moment of disgust. “Before everyone drools in there, I can go first!” “No, I'll start! I knew it would be disgusting. Everyone has the same drool,” shouted Tom, and then lashed out at his brother: “If Bill starts drooling, you have to smell the microphone.” He was sure to get laughs from the audience.

The fact that Bill was able to start first didn't please his twin brother at all. Although the mouthpiece was wiped clean after a celebrity had used it, Tom didn't seem to be entirely convinced by the cleaning and once again took aim at his brother: “He really has incredibly bad oral hygiene!” “You're brothers, we have the same DNA, what do Wigald and I do?” asked Edin Hasanović jokingly.

Bill Kaulitz not very enthusiastic about “Superduper Show”

After the mouth darts game, there is basketball and discus throwing, also in miniature format and performed with the mouth. In the end, the “face championships” were won by Tom, Wigald and Edin – Bill only received a certificate of participation. “I'm not having much fun so far, I can say that,” grumbled the “Tokio Hotel” singer from his chair. At least he was able to take Tom's taunts with humor.

Nina Chuba and Kurt Krömer (r.) have no chance in the second episode of Joko Winterscheidt's show.

Bill Kaulitz hairstyle causes tears

Tom's mini-show “Scissors, Stone, Shave” which he had put together for his protégé Mia could be seen as a kind of compensation for his digs at Bill. On a hairstyle wheel of fortune, which gave volunteers a special kind of makeover, Tom's twin brother Bill was also represented with the classic “Through the Monsoon” hairstyle from 2005.

In fact, it was Lou who was affected, as he had to sacrifice his long hair for Bill's hairstyle. He even shed tears at the end, as Tom revealed. Bill was sympathetic: “I felt sorry for him too, it was really bad!”

In the end, the “Superduper Show” was not won by Tom or Bill Kaulitz, but by Edin Hasanović and ten-year-old Paula with their mini-show “Yuck, tastes good,” in which three celebrities were given a hidden disgusting snack to eat and had to professionally conceal their reaction from the guessing team.
