Multiple shots were fired at an occupied home in Loyalsock Township over the weekend | News, Sports, Jobs

Multiple shots were fired at an occupied home near Lincoln Drive and Russell Avenue in Loyalsock Township early Sunday morning, state police confirmed in a news release issued Tuesday evening. No one was injured when bullets ripped through the home around 4 a.m., police said. “Bullet holes penetrated the walls and damaged a large flat-screen television,” police said. Firefighters provided additional lighting for investigators.

Surveillance video shows “individuals exiting an SUV and firing several shots at the house before returning to the vehicle and fleeing,” police said. The vehicle turned out to be stolen and was later recovered in the city, police said.

It is unknown if this shooting was in any way connected to another in the 1000 block of Baldwin Street in the city, where shots were fired at an unoccupied home around the same time. Those shootings came after a woman and a 16-year-old girl were shot when gunfire rang out in a crowd in the 500 block of Park Avenue in the city around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, police said. No arrests were made in any of those incidents.
