Man arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting three women on York University campus

Toronto police have arrested a man who allegedly sexually harassed three women at York University.

Officers were called to campus at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

Investigators say a man approached women on campus and engaged them in conversation before attempting to lure them into a private area.

“When the women refused and attempted to leave the area, they were sexually assaulted by the defendant,” a police press release said. The statement continued: “The defendant sexually assaulted three people.”

Kevin Desousa, 31, of Toronto was arrested and charged with sexual assault, assault, possession of counterfeit money and failure to comply with a release order.
