Mississauga man charged with decades-long sexual assault

Peel Region Police said a man was accused of two counts of sexual assault dating back two decades.

It is alleged that on July 12, 2004, a 20-year-old woman was approached and sexually assaulted by a man in the area of ​​Mclaughlin Road and Ceremonial Drive in Mississauga.

Police said that on February 5, 2005, a 16-year-old girl was approached and sexually assaulted by the same man in the area of ​​Balmoral Drive and Bramalea Road in Brampton.

Both incidents were reported to the authorities at the time. The police pointed out that a publication ban protected the identity of the victims.

After a comprehensive investigation entitled Project ShadowOn Monday, officers arrested 43-year-old Justin Foley of Mississauga, who was in his early 20s at the time of the alleged sexual assault.

Foley faces several charges, including two counts of kidnapping, sexual assault with a weapon, willful concealment, and one count of uttering threats, to name a few.

The defendant was detained for a bail hearing and appeared in court.
