Arrest – Stabbing – 300 block of Avenue R South

A Saskatoon man was arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with an assault charge.

On September 17, 2024, around 1:00 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Avenue R South for a report of an injured person. Initial information indicated that someone had been stabbed.

When officers arrived, they found a man with injuries consistent with a stabbing. Paramedics then arrived on the scene and took the man to hospital with injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested on the scene without further incident. The victim and suspect presumably know each other.

As a result, a 36-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon.
