Man charged with sexually assaulting victim in Toronto elevator: TPS

A man has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a victim while delivering a food order at a residence.

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said Shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, officers were called to the area around Yonge Street and Grosvenor Street for reports of a sexual assault.

It is alleged that the defendant was in an apartment building and entered an elevator together with the victim.

According to police, the defendant pushed the victim into the elevator and held her before sexually abusing her.

Azaz Ahmed Bablu, 35, of Toronto was charged with sexual assault and battery. He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

The police assume that there may be more victims and ask anyone with information to come forward.
