“It won’t be close”: Tech billionaire Peter Thiel makes this prediction for the 2024 US elections

Tech billionaire Peter Thiel has taken a very contrarian view. At a recent summit, Thiel predicted a decisive outcome in the 2024 presidential election, rejecting the notion of another close election that many experts believe could happen this time. At a recent appearance at the All-In Summit, Thiel stated that either Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump would win a clear victory.

Thiel, a prominent Trump supporter, explained his position: “My opposing view on this election is that it will not be close. Historically, that has not been the case in most presidential elections.” He highlighted the 2016 and 2020 races as exceptions, noting that the majority of elections tend to produce clear winners.

He predicted a clear turnaround in the coming months. Either Harris' support will wane or Trump's base will lose motivation, leading to a collapse of one side. “One side will cave in within the next two months,” Thiel noted.

Although Thiel has supported Trump financially in the past, donating to the 2016 campaign and various Senate races, he has now decided to stop making political contributions. However, he remains a strong supporter of Trump and Ohio Senator JD Vance. “I am still very much pro-Trump and JD Vance. Although I no longer donate to political causes, I support them in other ways,” Thiel reiterated.

Thiel expressed doubts about the influence of campaign donations, especially in the event of a landslide victory. He further speculated that if the election result is close, Harris and the Democrats could resort to questionable tactics, such as vote manipulation or changing election rules, to secure a victory.
