New details about RTL show – a dig at “TV total”?

Stefan Raab returns to television on Wednesday with “You won’t win the million with Stefan Raab” on RTL. The show is being filmed at a well-known location near Cologne.

According to him, the new Raab show is a mixture of “quizzes, games and an overview of the current week's events” and will be produced by Raab Entertainment in the EMG studios in Hürth. Tickets for the first show were available in just a few minutes, but the website's servers crashed seconds after the announcement.

On Tuesday morning, there is still little to be seen of the production that is due to take place that evening. Large industrial fences and a few cedar trees conceal the studio in which Stefan Raab will make his comeback on Tuesday evening. A large truck from the television studio is parked in front of one of the buildings. At the same time, an excavator is driving across the parking lot to a small construction site.

Recording of the new show, which will be broadcast exclusively on the streaming service RTL+, is scheduled to begin at around 7 p.m. Large signs for parking have been put up in front of the studio so that Raab's first guests since 2015 can find their way around.

Stefan Raab's weekly shows are to be produced in Hürth until the beginning of October. Further formats with the Cologne entertainer are being planned. Raab announced on Saturday evening after his boxing match against Regina Halmich that he had signed a five-year contract with RTL.

Viewers can see exactly how Stefan Raab fares in front of the camera on Wednesday from 8:10 p.m. During his fight against Halmich, Raab joked that he wanted to be “number two behind the Bachelor.” It is hardly a coincidence that the broadcast is taking place parallel to his former show “TV total,” now hosted by Sebastian Pufpaff.
