Mother loses three children in fire in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum

A mother is in deep grief after losing her three children in a tragic fire in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums of Nairobi.

When did the Mukuru fire break out?

The police report states that the fire broke out at 8 p.m. on Monday, September 16, and razed the house where the three children were sleeping.

According to a report by KBC, the children who died were aged 16, 14 and 4 and were identified by their mothers.

The fire, which started in nearby buildings and spread quickly while the victims were sleeping, was eventually extinguished by county fire trucks. The bodies were recovered from the scene.
