Sentence announced for Cleveland man who tortured woman for two days

Earlier this month, Preston Anderson pleaded guilty to sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated assault and strangulation.

According to Cleveland police, Anderson inflicted serious injuries on the then 41-year-old woman in an apartment near East 75th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley said Anderson poured boiling canola oil on the victim, causing third-degree burns on several parts of her body, and did not allow her to eat, drink or use the bathroom during the two-day ordeal.

O'Malley added that the victim was sexually and physically assaulted.

The victim managed to escape on July 28 by entering the security area of ​​the apartment and hiding in a bathroom.

A few days later, Anderson was arrested by police.
