Police investigate fatal stabbing in Temple Hills

TEMPLE HILLS, Maryland – Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday night in Temple Hills, authorities said.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Anthony Armengo-Angeles, was found with stab wounds inside a residence in the 4400 block of 23rd Parkway. Police arrived at the scene around 10:10 p.m. on September 13 after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Armengo-Angeles was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives have identified the individual involved in the incident and are working with the Prince George's County District Attorney's Office as they continue their investigation.

  • Man shot multiple times and killed in shooting in Upper Manhattan.

    NEW YORK — Police say a 32-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning in the Inwood neighborhood of Upper Manhattan.

    The victim, identified as Wilmer Rosario, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the face and chest at around 5:49 a.m. Officers had responded to a 911 call about a shooting at 3845 10th Avenue in the 34th Precinct.

    Rosario, who lived at 653 Britton Street in the Bronx, was taken by emergency medical services to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

    No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and the investigation is ongoing, police said. Authorities have not released any further details about possible suspects or motives in the case.

  • Three people charged with car theft at knifepoint in Gaithersburg

    Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division have arrested Lascelles Alonzo Greenwood, 26, of Silver Spring, Alei Imani Cook, 27, of unknown address, and Dewayne Davis, 35, of unknown address, in connection with a car theft that occurred on September 2, 2024 in the 12100 block of Veirs Mill Road.

    At approximately 4:33 a.m., officers from the 4th Precinct responded to a report of a carjacking. Investigators determined that the victim, an adult male, had picked up Cook at a gas station in the 12200 block of Veirs Mill Road and parked his Honda Civic nearby. Shortly after parking, Greenwood and Davis approached the vehicle, threatened the victim with a knife and dragged him from the car before fleeing in the Honda.

    During their investigation, detectives identified Greenwood, Cook and Davis as suspects. Greenwood and Cook were arrested on September 5 near Veirs Mill Road and Randolph Road, while Davis was arrested on September 11 in the same area.

    Greenwood and Davis were charged with armed auto theft and related offenses and are being held without bail. Cook was charged with conspiracy to commit auto theft and theft and is being held on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond.
