McDonald's is giving away 50-cent double cheeseburgers for National Cheeseburger Day

Free Fries Friday, which officially began in July, has become a popular offer among fans: With a minimum purchase of $1, customers can redeem medium-sized French fries.

The company has seen many changes in recent months. On September 4, McDonald's announced that they would be giving the McFlurry a new face and creating a miniature version of the frozen treat.

The sustainable containers were introduced to restaurants across the country on September 10, along with Mini McFlurrys, which are said to be one-third the size of the original McFlurry.

Wendy's is also offering an attractive deal for National Cheeseburger Day. The chain's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger costs just 1 cent with every purchase from September 18th to 22nd.

Burger King is also giving away a free cheeseburger with every purchase on September 18th.
