Elizabeth Olsen reveals she would beg Marvel Studios to “leave a window open” so her “dead” character Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch can return

Elizabeth Olsen asked to “leave a window open” for the return of her seemingly dead character Wanda Maximoff during a talk show visit on Monday.

The 35-year-old actress was asked by 56-year-old Jimmy about her character's status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“Wanda is dead, as far as we know from the last Dr. Strange movie, right?” asked 56-year-old Jimmy.

“I think so,” said Elizabeth.

“You don’t know or you don’t want to say?” asked Jimmy.

“I suppose so,” Elizabeth admitted.

Jimmy reminded Elizabeth that Wanda aka Scarlet Witch was crushed by rocks at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

“Yes. And there was a red light,” Elizabeth said. “With explosive energy.”

“But nobody ever told you that's it. The character is dead. That's the end of the show,” Jimmy said.

“I think I’m dead,” said Elizabeth.

Jimmy suggested that they could leave a window open in case she wasn't dead.

“I would ask that you leave a window open,” said Elizabeth.

Elizabeth said she really enjoyed making the Marvel movies and confirmed that she did not want Wanda to die.

“No, but I would like to figure out a clever way to be undead,” said Elizabeth.

“If any character can figure this out, it's Wanda,” Jimmy said.

“I think so too. We need to find the smartest writers to figure out how to make sense of it all,” Elizabeth agreed.

“I don't think anyone will have a problem with it as long as you're still alive,” Jimmy said as the studio audience cheered.

Chris Hemsworth, 41, was also on the ABC talk show in an earlier segment and Jimmy asked Elizabeth who was more powerful: Wanda or Thor, played by Chris.

“I think so,” said Wanda.

“I think you’re right,” said Jimmy.

Jimmy said he believes Wanda could be more powerful than Thor with his legendary hammer and lightning abilities.

“I think so. I think I could probably manipulate him somehow and enter his body and do the same thing he does,” Elizabeth agreed.

Elizabeth was on the talk show to promote her upcoming film “His Three Daughters,” which was written and directed by Azazel Jacobs, 51, and also stars Natasha Lyonne and Carrie Coon.

“It's a special project that our friend Jacob wrote for all of us. We made it for so, so little money in an apartment in the city center. And it's about three sisters who come together to their parents' house to look after their father in the hospice. It sounds very dark, but it actually has some humor,” said Elizabeth.

His Three Daughters premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month and was released in select theaters in the U.S. on September 6.

The streaming debut on Netflix is scheduled for Friday.
