Patna:

A 14-year-old girl was raped at gunpoint by two men in Bihar's Saharsa, about 180 km from the state capital Patna. The victim has told police that the accused, identified as Bittu and Ankush, forced her to get into a car and then sexually assaulted her on Saturday.

According to the girl's family, she had taken goats to graze on Saturday afternoon. When she returned home, a car stopped next to her. Three men were in it, one of them was the driver. Two of them called her. As she approached the vehicle, one of the men put a gun to her head and ordered her to get in. After she did so, the two men raped her. The car music was played at full volume so that her screams could not be heard. After sexually abusing her for more than two hours, they left her on the side of the road.

When the girl returned home, she did not tell her parents about the attack. “Her parents started beating her when she did not tell them where she was. When I asked her, she told me what had happened. They had torn her clothes,” the girl's aunt told the media. She said the accused stared at the girl every time she left the house.

The girl's aunt said the accused's family offered them money and promised to pay for the girl's wedding. “We don't want money, we want justice.” The girl's father said he wanted justice for his daughter. “How much money will they give me? I don't want it, I want justice.”

The police have filed a report and sent the girl for a medical examination. Further investigations are ongoing.
