According to the fire department, the accident happened at 10:53 a.m. during a test ride on the roller coaster belonging to the Barth family of showmen – just before the point where the trains start and stop.

A witness to the accident: “I saw the safety vest fly away”

The seriously injured man was then taken to hospital. “While still being treated in the ambulance, the young man required resuscitation. He was taken to the emergency room of a hospital while receiving cardiac massage. There he succumbed to his serious injuries.”

A crisis intervention team looked after the dead man's colleagues. The Munich police cordoned off the area around the Olympic Loop. Specialists examined the accident site shortly before boarding and disembarking. It is unclear which of the four trains (colors: green, blue, pink) hit the man. The police station 13 (industrial accidents) is investigating.
