73-year-old man arrested for sexually abusing a minor in Panchsheel Nagar slum area

Mumbai: A 73-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor in the Panchsheel Nagar slum area of ​​Navi Mumbai, police said on Monday.

According to police, the accused and the complainant are distant relatives and live in each other's neighbourhood in Katkari Pada.

About the incident

The incident occurred within the Rabale Police Station (MIDC).

When the minor's family came to know about the incident, they filed a complaint at the Rabale MIDC police station.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the accused was arrested.
