Mother arrested after allegedly stabbing her son to death in a Kapolei home

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 61-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her son in the stomach during an argument in Kapolei Saturday night. She is now charged with attempted murder.

According to records, the attack occurred at around 11:30 p.m. in a house on Awela Street.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services took the 37-year-old victim to Queens Medical Center in serious condition.

According to law enforcement sources, officers were told two different versions of the actual incident.

HPD confirms that the mother has been released from custody pending the completion of the investigation.
