MPs file charges against man accused of sexually abusing minors

SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – A Sumter man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing three minors, a news release said.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office said officers responded to a call on Sunday, August 18, from people reporting that young children claimed they had been attacked
sexually by Bradley Alexander Thompson.

When officers began their investigation, the children were taken by their parents to a doctor for examination.

After further investigation and forensic interviews, it is alleged that Thompson sexually abused three minor children on or between May 1, 2024, and August 18, 2024.

The 20-year-old is said to have confessed to committing these crimes.

He was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center, but his bail was denied.
