Raiders celebrate the life of their beloved fan Trevor LaPlante at home opener

Fundraising for the legacy of a beloved community member

Two months have passed since the tragic death of Prince Albert resident Trevor LaPlante and the community is still mourning the loss of a man who brought smiles to the faces of the people of Prince Albert.

With the 2024-25 hockey season beginning this weekend, LaPlante is on the minds of hockey fans across the community as the Prince Albert Raiders look to open their season at home on Friday.

LaPlante was a well-known Raiders fan and former employee at Burger King and later McDonald's. To honor his death, the Raiders announced Monday that they will donate a portion of the proceeds from Friday's 50/50 drive to the Ronald McDonald House charity in LaPlante's name.
