Kanpur: A 25-year-old rape victim who recently gave birth to a dead baby died during treatment at the Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital in Kanpur. Her health deteriorated since birth. Her family had her treated at the Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital.

According to the victim's uncle, Ravi lured the woman into a relationship under the pretext of marriage and physically exploited her for four years.
Bahadur Singh, in-charge of Kidwainagar police station, said the victim's engagement with Ravi was planned for April this year, but he was not ready for it. When the victim wanted to meet Ravi, “he attacked her,” the woman's uncle told police.
After a heated argument with Ravi and his family, he finally agreed to marry the woman. However, the woman's health suddenly deteriorated and she was taken to a hospital where it was discovered that she was pregnant.
When Ravi learned about the pregnancy, he refused to marry the woman.
The woman's family then approached the police and filed a complaint of rape and threat against Ravi. On September 1, the victim was admitted to the maternity hospital where she gave birth to a child. stillborn childA DNA sample of the child was kept.
Police were still investigating the case as the woman continued to suffer from severe blood loss after delivery. She was treated at LLR Hospital, where she died late Saturday night. A panel conducted the postmortem with video footage, the official said.
