Two teenagers killed in car crash near Consort, Alberta

A tragic car crash this morning has left two teenagers dead and several others injured. The accident occurred at 1:06 a.m. on Township Road 353 and required a quick response from Coronation's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Officers discovered seven juvenile occupants in the truck. Two deaths were confirmed at the scene. The remaining occupants suffered various injuries.

Preliminary investigations indicate alcohol may have played a role in the crash, however the investigation is ongoing. The RCMP is expected to provide additional information as more information becomes available.

In a statement, Coronation's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) expressed its deepest condolences to the families and friends affected by the tragedy, saying: “This is a great loss for the family and the entire community.”

The incident has left the community grieving and struggling to cope with the devastating loss.
