Faridabad: The owner of a gym was allegedly beaten to death by youths in a village here late Sunday evening, police said.

The deceased's two nephews, who had come to his aid, were also seriously injured in the attack and are currently being treated in hospital, it was reported. The reason for the attack is said to have been a financial dispute.

An FIR has been registered at the central police station in Faridabad, they added.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Raju Sharma alias Rajesh Sharma (44), a resident of Ajraunda village in Sector 15A.

According to the complaint filed by Shivam, his uncle had financial dealings with Kallu Pandit of the same village. Late in the evening, Kallu Pandit allegedly argued with his uncle outside the village and his uncle was attacked late in the night, he added.
