Telugu choreographer Jani Master accused of sexually abusing a woman

HYDERABAD: A case has been filed against well-known Telugu film choreographer Shaik Jani alias Jani Master for allegedly sexually harassing a woman with whom he worked, police said on Monday.

The woman claimed that the defendant sexually harassed her during outdoor filming and that an attack also occurred in her home.

Raidurgam police did not register an FIR on her complaint and forwarded it to Narsingi police station on Sunday evening as she resides there, police said.

Jani Master, who is also a Jana Sena party worker, has worked in several popular films, including 'Ala Vaikunthapuramulo' and 'Pushpa' starring Allu Arjun, as well as Tamil and Hindi films.

Andhra Pradesh Jana Sena Party Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said in a statement that Jani Master had been asked to stay away from the party's programmes.

The party leadership made this decision in view of the police investigation initiated against him, it was said.
