Apple TV+ once again proved its knack for producing high-quality content at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards and won several awards. The original series “Slow Horses” and “The Morning Show” in particular took center stage and helped Apple TV+ win a total of 10 Emmy Awards this year.

Emmy success for “Slow Horses”

The spy thriller “Slow Horses” made a strong Emmy debut: Creator and executive producer Will Smith received the award for “outstanding writing for a drama series.” The award was given for the series' third season, which was praised for its humorous take on the spy genre.

“Slow Horses” follows a team of British intelligence agents who are transferred to the so-called Slough House department of MI5. The department collects failed MI5 agents. Each one has messed up in some way and the government hopes that the agents will eventually get fed up and quit. However, the field office for “losers” offers a lot more than you initially think. The skills of the outcasts range from IT nerds to organizational talent, which pays off as the plot progresses. Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the leader of the Slough House spies, who wants to get back into the spy service by any means necessary.

The series, which is currently in its fourth season on Apple TV+, has already been renewed for a fifth season.

“The Morning Show” continues its winning streak

Billy Crudup, one of the main actors of “The Morning Show,” secured his second Emmy Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.” In addition, the hair and makeup teams of “The Morning Show” each received an award.

The Morning Show explores the highly competitive world of morning news. In season three, the network's future is called into question and loyalties are tested when a tech titan shows interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized and everyone is forced to confront their core values, both inside and outside the newsroom.
