Tragic family portrait: New photo shows dead mother, son and daughter – while their older brother, 18, appears in court for triple murder

A new photo shows a tragic family portrait of a dead mother, son and daughter as her older brother appears in court on triple murder charges.

Nicholas Prosper, 18, appeared in court today after being arrested on Friday when police found the bodies of his mother Juliana, 48, brother Kyle, 16, and sister Giselle, 13, in a flat in Luton, Bedfordshire.

After neighbors reported gunshots, officers rushed to the apartment complex and found the bodies at 5:30 a.m.

The defendant, wearing a grey prison jumper and tracksuit bottoms, confirmed only his name and date of birth during his brief appearance at Luton Magistrates' Court.

He was also charged with several other crimes related to the murder. Police said they found a firearm during a search of the area.

The case will be referred to Luton Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on 18 September 2024.

As Prosper was being led into the cell, a man, presumably Prosper's father, stood up in the public area and said, “I still love you, son. I know it's not your fault, okay?”

A family friend described Juliana, Kyle and Giselle as “beautiful souls” and said Julie was “a strong, loving mother to four beautiful children who were her everything.”

The family friend told The Sun that Juliana “was a keen sportswoman and loved raising money for charity” and that “others always came first”.

They said Kyle is “creative and thriving on TikTok, a huge talent with huge potential” and his friends are his “everything.”

The friend added that Giselle was “a beautiful soul and a caring young girl” who “loved her family and big brothers” and was “an exceptional student” at Lea Manor High School.
