Tourists in fear after horror hammer attack by teenager in Dublin

Tourists from France and South America are in shock after being attacked and stoned by a group of youths in Dublin at the weekend.

The Daily Mail reported that the tourists were forced to seek refuge in a nearby pub after being attacked by the group of teenagers, one of whom was wielding a hammer.

Gardaí said they were “investigating reports of an assault that occurred in the Dublin 8 area on Saturday evening” and that investigations were ongoing.

According to the Daily Mail, the group of teenagers in hoodies began shouting racist slurs, including the N-word, at the visitors.

During the attack, the tourists were also subjected to racist abuse, according to witnesses, and were forced to “barricade themselves” in Arthur's Pub on Thomas Street, near the Guinness Storehouse, which they had just visited.

Saturday's incident was the latest attack on foreigners in the city center.

In July, a tourist from France was ambushed and attacked with a machete by a group of people because he was called a “damned immigrant.”

The previous month, a Canadian tourist was killed in an attack in Dublin city centre.
