This is the jury in season 14

This year, the 14th season of “The Voice of Germany” 2024 will be broadcast. The search for Germany’s best voice will start on September 26, 2024. Sat.1 and ProSieben The talents are trying to convince both the jury and the audience for the fourteenth time. Speaking of the jury: There will be a big shake-up for the new season, because none of the coaches from the 13th season are returning, according to Sat.1. That has rarely been the case so far. Last year, Giovanni Zarrella, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Ronan Keating and Shirin David sat in front of the red buzzers.

However, fans of the show don't have to miss out on familiar faces. Three of the four new jury members have sat in the red chair at least once, two of them have even won the show and coached their talents to victory. New jury at “The Voice of Germany 2024”: An overview of the four coaches

This year, viewers can expect a mixture of old hands and a new face. Here we introduce the four jury members:

After his farewell tour with Sunrise Avenue in 2022 and the start of his solo career, Samu Haber is now returning to the red swivel chair at “The Voice of Germany”. The musician is no stranger to fans of the show. Haber has already appeared as a coach five times, in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2020. With the 14th season, the Finn will now be taking on his sixth engagement as a coach on the show. He was able to emerge as the winner twice, once in a duo with Rea Garvey. In 2024, he will lead one of the talents to victory for the third time.

The musician, born in Helsinki in April 1976, has made a name for himself worldwide with his distinctive voice and catchy songs. Haber's musical career began at a young age. After a four-year break in sunny Spain, he and his band achieved great success. Sunrise Avenue's most famous songs include titles such as “Fairytale Gone Bad”, “Hollywood Hills” and “Lifesaver”.

Haber lives both professionally and privately according to the following four principles: “Do something you love”, “Work hard”, “Enjoy life” and “Risk mistakes”, as he ProSieben In addition to his music career, the musician is also involved in social activities. At a meet & greet, he auctioned off one of his guitars for the benefit of a children's hospital in Helsinki and raised over 10,000 euros.

After just a year's break, Mark Forster returns to the “TVOG” jury after leaving it victorious. In the twelfth season, he led his candidate Anny Ogrezeanu to victory. Like Samu Haber, Mark Forster has long been an integral part of the show. This year he is buzzing for the musically talented candidates for the seventh time. His coaching career began in 2015 on “The Voice Kids” before he replaced Andreas Bourani on the jury of “The Voice of Germany” in 2017. After that, he remained in the subsequent part of the show for another five seasons.

Mark Forster was born in Kaiserslautern in 1983. His real surname is Ćwiertnia, his parents are from Poland, which is why he speaks the language. He says his love of music began early and was supported by piano lessons. After initially studying law and later completing a degree in business administration, he decided to pursue a career as a musician after a pilgrimage – and he was successful.

Mark Forster took his first steps in music as a sidekick in “Krömer – the International Show”. In 2009 he adopted the stage name “Mark Forster”, inspired by Forster Street in Berlin. He celebrated his big breakthrough with this name. His most famous songs include “Au revoir”, “Chöre” and “Wir sind groß”.

Forster is also socially committed, especially to the children's aid project “Herzenssache”. Little else is known about Mark Forster in his private life, apart from his passion for music and his collection of over 200 caps, as he announced on ProSieben.

From 2016 to 2018, Yvonne Catterfeld accompanied the talents as a coach on “The Voice of Germany” and in 2019 also on “The Voice Senior”. Most recently, she shared her knowledge in the 2021 anniversary season together with Stefanie Kloß from Silbermond. Now she is celebrating her comeback on the show and is active as a coach for the fourth time.

In addition to her time in the music industry, Yvonne Catterfeld also worked in the film and television industry. After the first failed single releases, she turned to acting and became a member of the GZSZ cast for two years. RTLHer musical breakthrough came in 2003 with the single “Für dich”, which topped the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She later appeared on screen again as an actress in films such as “Keinohrhasen” and “Zweiohrküken”.

Catterfeld was born in Erfurt in December 1979. Her musical talent stems from a broad education in piano and guitar as well as singing and dancing. After graduating from high school, she studied jazz and pop music and at that time began to pass on her skills to her own music students.

In her private life, she lived with actor Oliver Wnuk until 2021 and has a son. She announced her new relationship at the beginning of 2023. Her new partner is from England. The singer also loves adventure sports, but has become more cautious due to her role as a mother, as she told ProSieben. Today she lives in Berlin and owns a houseboat, which she also rents out.

Tim Kamrad, known by his stage name “Kamrad”, started as the new coach on “The Voice of Germany” in 2024. He is not only the youngest member of the jury, but also the only singer who is taking part as a coach for the first time. The other coaches have already sat on the red chairs several times.

Kamrad was born in Wuppertal in 1997 and grew up in Langenberg. He has been passionate about music since childhood and started playing the guitar at the age of five. Kamrad graduated from high school in 2016 with an average grade of 1.0. He then began studying industrial engineering, but did not complete it in order to pursue his music career. His parents supported him actively by taking out a loan.

The investment seems to have paid off so far: In winter 2016, Kamrad performed for the first time as the opening act for the artist Lions Head and the 80s cult band ABC. His debut single “Changes” was released in February 2017 and was played by the radio station N-Joy was voted “Newcomer of the Month”. Further performances followed as support act for Lotte, Sunrise Avenue and Nico Santos.

Kamrad achieved his big breakthrough in 2022 with his single “I Believe”, which was particularly successful on TikTok and brought him into the top 20 of the German charts. His song “Feel Alive”, released in 2023, not only brought him further chart positions, but also international fame. Now his path leads him to the jury of a TV show for the first time.
