Man accused of sexually abusing a child

A 35-year-old Bowman man is accused of sexually abusing a girl between the ages of 11 and 14.

Dontrielle Leon Smalls of Arant Drive is charged with second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

According to an arrest warrant, Smalls and his accuser had a familial or custody relationship.

The plaintiff disclosed the alleged abuse to a family member in February and said it occurred about two or three years ago.

Smalls was taken into custody on Friday and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

• An Orangeburg man claims two acquaintances entered his unsecured Honeysuckle Drive home without permission and stole his camera surveillance system and his black and white exotic bulldog.

He reported the incident on September 9.

He doesn't want to file a complaint.

The value of the stolen items is $6,000.

• A Eutawville man reported Friday that someone stole his 6-by-12-foot single-axle trailer from his yard on Round O Road.

The enclosed white trailer has Precision Made stickers on the sides and is loaded with tools.

The trailer is worth $5,000.
