Residents demand two-lane road

Angry over the tragic death of two young girls in a road accident on the Bombay Hospital-Tulsi Nagar road, the local residents have demanded immediate construction of a two-lane road between Tulsi Nagar culvert and Advance Academy, failing which they have threatened to stage a demonstration. The narrow stretch from Tulsi Nagar culvert to BCM Paradise Junction is notorious for accidents. The situation has worsened further due to the poor condition of the road after the monsoon.

This route is a vital link between Nipaniya and the main areas of the city, but its dangerous condition forces thousands to commute daily in life-threatening conditions. Almost nine months ago, the Indore Development Authority (IDA) approved a tender to widen the road and remove overbuildings, but work has not yet begun. Despite the end of the rainy season, the road remains dangerous and the risk of accidents has increased due to the administration's inaction.
