TV presenter Joko Winterscheidt proves to be a tough nut to crack again in the eighth season of “Who’s Stealing My Show?”

Joko Winterscheidt, 45, was also able to take part in the second episode of the eighth season of “Who's going to steal my show?” (Sundays, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben and Joyn). Only former wildcard winner Verena made life difficult for him and would have quickly challenged him for the show.

Difficult start for Joko Winterscheidt on “Who’s stealing my show?”

The celebrity participants in the season – comedian Kurt Krömer, 49, musician Nina Chuba, 25, and podcaster Tommi Schmitt, 35 – left the clever dentist behind. In the opening game “The Easy Five”, however, all of Winterscheidt's opponents shine with little general knowledge, as in the first episode. For example, no one recognized the “right before left” traffic sign. “I don't even know how I managed to get my driver's license,” Chuba summed up the sadness.

Nina Chuba is the first to leave the show

The singer was the first to be kicked out of the show and had to do the dreaded walk of shame. This was followed by games such as “The wall must go down” and “Much or no much” (based on the former Sat.1 show “Deal or no Deal”). Finally, Verena was able to win the prompter game. She is the first wildcard candidate in three seasons to make it to the final against Joko Winterscheidt. However, the dentist's nervousness proved to be her undoing there – and the experienced TV star was once again ahead.

Joko expresses his thanks to the wildcard winner

In a short clip, the old and new presenter of “Who's Stealing My Show?” addresses his wildcard winners and tough competitors once again. You were a really great wildcard winner. “You were a fabulous, dreamy, incredibly great wildcard. (…) Sorry that I didn't steal the show from you, but I didn't give it to you either,” Winterscheidt says gratefully.

Will the candidates have more luck in the third episode? You can find out on Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben. The winner will then be able to present the show in the next episode according to their own ideas. Joko Winterscheidt would then have to switch to the other side and try to win back his show as a candidate.
