Tito Jackson dead: Jackson 5 member and Michael Jackson's brother turned 70

Tito JacksonFounding member of the Jackson 5 and the late MichaelJackson's brother has died at the age of 70, according to several reports.

Jackson's sons Taj, Taryl And TJbest known as pop group 3T, shared the news via Instagram early Monday, September 16.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us,” the trio wrote alongside a series of photos depicting their father's life. “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”

“Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson of the legendary Jackson 5, others may know him as 'Coach Tito' or still others may know him as 'Poppa T'. However, he will be missed terribly. For us, it will always be 'Tito time'. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love one another'. We love you, Pops,” Jackson's sons continued.

Jackson died on Sunday, September 15, presumably of a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma. The Jacksons' former manager, Steve Manningtold Entertainment tonight. People confirmed Jackson's death along with his nephew Siggy Jackson.
