United Arab Emirates condemns knife attack on Comoros President

ABU DHABI, 16th September, 2024 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the stabbing attack on Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of Comoros, which resulted in his injury. The UAE expressed its sincere condolences for this tragic incident.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed the United Arab Emirates' solidarity with his family, as well as with the government and people of the Union of the Comoros, and conveyed its warmest wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

The ministry also reiterated that the UAE strongly condemns such criminal and extremist acts and permanently rejects any form of violence.
