Man shot dead in upscale harbor district

WBFF (Baltimore, MD) – Baltimore homicide detectives are investigating a shooting in an upscale waterfront neighborhood that fatally wounded a 36-year-old man Saturday night.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Aliceanna Street to investigate a report of a shooting that occurred around 11:55 p.m.

When they arrived there, they found the man with numerous gunshot wounds.

An ambulance took the man to a local hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead, police said.

Homicide detectives were busy searching for evidence and speaking with staff at facilities in Harbor East during the early hours of Sunday morning.

They found a pile of bullet casings scattered on the street, not far from the Azumi Japanese restaurant and the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
