Michael Wendler: Drama over concert tickets – his last hope

Michael Wendler will celebrate his big comeback. The concert in the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen on September 6, 2025 is set to mark his return to the big stage. The demand seems to be high – 1,000 tickets are said to have been sold in just 48 hours. Is that true? “Schlager.de” got to the bottom of the matter.

On March 15, 2024, Wendler proudly announced on “X” that advance sales for his concert had started and that the servers were temporarily overloaded. Four days later, he rejoiced that over 1,000 tickets had already been sold – in just 48 hours! But the reality is different.

Ticket chaos surrounding Michael Wendler

168 days have passed since presales began, and the arena, which has 13,000 tickets, is far from being sold out. Record numbers? According to “Schlager.de”, not at all! But Wendler is sticking to his mantra: “Nothing can stop what's coming.” But the numbers tell a different story. While stars like Helene Fischer and Roland Kaiser sell out their concerts within minutes, things seem different for Wendler.

The upper tiers of the arena are not even available for sale – a clear sign that demand is not meeting expectations. This could be because Wendler's reputation has suffered greatly in recent years, and this is now reflected in ticket sales. A spokeswoman for the Rudolf Weber Arena confirmed to “Schlager.de”: “The upper tiers are not available for ticket sales.”

This means that the majority of seats in the lower section are still available. Wendler's big dream of a sold-out comeback seems to be over before it has even really begun.

But how many tickets has Michael Wendler already sold? You can find out exclusively on “Schlager.de”.
