Dead Icarus announce debut “Zealot”

The band Dead Icarus consists of former Atreyu singer Alex Varkatzas as well as Gabe Mangold from Enterprise Earth and Brandon Zackey. They announce their debut album “Zealot” for release on October 31st via MNRK Heavy. Produced and co-written by Mangold.

“I couldn't be more excited and proud to share our first album ZEALOT with the world,” says Varkatzas. “Being a 'ZEALOT' means being fanatical and uncompromising about your beliefs. A lot of emotion and energy went into the creation of this. I worked very hard to improve my vocal performance and really committed to not holding anything back and trying new things to match the dynamic nature of the songs.”

He adds: “We kick things off with 'Bearing Burdens and Saving Skin', a fast, chaotic, catchy banger. Lyrically, the song is about dishonesty and relentless vengeance. We pair it with a dark and wild video by MyGoodEyeVisuals, shot in a haunted house cemetery, which serves as a prequel to the subsequent videos we're working on. Get ready, we're just getting started…”

Dead Icarus will embark on their first US tour in September with Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon, with additional worldwide tours planned for 2025 and beyond.
