1 person arrested after shooting at large crowd in Goshen shopping center parking lot

GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) – A large gathering of people in the parking lot of a Goshen shopping center was marred last night when shots were fired, according to police.

Officers said they were trying to control overcrowding in the 200 block of Chicago Avenue when shots were fired on the north side of the Chicago Pike Plaza parking lot around 8 p.m.

According to police, a 20-year-old woman suffered a non-life-threatening leg injury and went to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say there are conflicting reports about the shooters involved. They say they arrested a person with a weapon at the scene, but it is still unclear whether that person was directly involved in the incident.
